THE WORKS

  • An anxious woman attends a speed dating event in search of a plus one to her sister’s wedding

  • “Emma Carissa Chase is an actor and writer (now playwright!) from New York. She graduated from NYU with a BFA in Drama and minor in Creative Writing. Recent and upcoming credits: Player Queen in RTC’s Hamlet, Andie in RTC’s The Thought of Us, and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Santa Monica Playhouse. Her first short film, The Gates, is shooting later this summer Single’s Night is her first play. Much love to Jared, her awesome friends, and the wonderful people of RTC for welcoming her into their theater family.”

  • Alyssa Riha is an actor, director, and producer. Originally from a small town in Nebraska, Alyssa graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2021 (yes, stage combat on Zoom was very fun, thank you for asking). She is very excited to be directing a one woman show! Directing credits include: “Beauty & The Beast, Jr.”; “The Power Went Out on Perdue Street”; “Into The Woods, Jr.”; “Black, White, & Red”.

  • A couple on the brink of breaking up are drawn back together when they're offered the chance to let a pair of robots observe their relationship.

  • Michael Warker is a writer and actor who loves telling sci-fi stories. Grounded science fiction has always excited him, as looking to the future can sometimes help to better process and understand the present moment. In addition to his work as a voice actor, wedding videographer, and whatever other gigs he can get his hands on, he has been self-producing short films and writing feature films, but he's a theatre kid at heart, and he's thrilled to be working with RTC to bring his play to life on stage.

  • Justin White is a graduate of USC’s BFA Acting program, and is the Visual Artist for RTC. As a drone pilot, filmmaker, photographer and graphic designer, his love for technology and passion for storytelling collide to bring E.I. to the stage. Justin is beyond excited for his directorial debut!

  • Jan, Janet, and Janice meet one another on accident the night they each decided to commit suicide. They sit on their window ledges from a great height and talk about bad thoughts, bad poetry, final destination, and the debilitating allure of suicide.

  • Natalie Grace is a playwright from southern California, and a current MFA student at UCLA. Her most recent credits include Theatre Masters’ Take Ten Festival in New York City, where she had a reading of a 10-minute play called Usurpations. She is returning to the festival in April for a reading of her new play Winter Candy Apple. At UCLA, she had a staged reading of her one-act play Merely Players, and she is currently preparing for her thesis production of a full-length play called BAD BREATH: the stink inside of me. Jan, Janet, and Janice was her undergraduate capstone project, and is a winner of a Judith Siegel Pearson award. After graduating from UCLA, Natalie hopes to pursue playwriting alongside education, while working to increase arts accessibility to low-income youth

  • Natalia directed RTC’s first ever production, The Children’s Hour by Lillian Hellmanand has since been operating as one of the company’s 3 Artistic Directors and Founders. With this new original project, Jan, Janet, & Janice by Natalie Lambert, Natalia is eager to tackle a story that once again features the taboo subject of suicide but with a heavy dose of dark comedy. Natalia understands that captaining a comedy requires tons of coordination and rhythm to keep the audiences’ afloat when the story aims to open their hearts but also requires lots of smooth transitions for when the story finds its depth and takes the audience under water to reflect. It’s this naval-like perspective that Natalia uses to conquer this daring new story of modern life and modern death.
